Your profile

We are looking for a Purchasing Specialist to join our Purchasing team on a fixed-term basis until 28.09.2027.
 
In this role, you will support a wide range of purchasing activities and contribute to the efficient management of supplier relationships, procurement processes, and cross-functional projects.

You are a great fit for our team if you possess the following competencies and qualifications:
 
  • Degree/experience in engineering in automotive industry.
 
  • A positive, practical, and proactive approach to overcoming challenges.
 
  • Cost Analysis skills (Material, labor, overhead, tooling, logistics, R&D, etc.).
 
  • Communication and negotiation skills (Consensus-building with suppliers, problem-solving, etc.).
 
  • Survey and research skills.
 
  • Good knowledge of English is required. German and Korean is a plus.

Your tasks

Support of Global OE Business:

  • Reviewing customer requirements and specification analysis.
  • Support and information exchange with the global purchasing management team.
  • Analysis of financial information from customers and suppliers.

Identification of Potential Suppliers:

  • Search for new technologies and benchmarking advanced companies.
  • Investigation of competitors' supply chains.
  • Building and managing a supplier pool and registering potential suppliers.
  • Finalizing confidentiality agreements and basic purchasing agreements with suppliers.

Supplier Management:

  • Evaluation of mass production suppliers and risk assessment.
  • Study of process improvement and cost reduction as well as cost management.

Selection of Mass Production Suppliers:

  • Preparation of requests for quotation (RFQ) and sending them to suppliers via the system and offline.
  • Submission of bids and management of supplier feedback.
  • Reviewing and analyzing supplier bids and regular reporting.

(EU) Survey for Business Activities and Strategic Planning:

  • Investigation of changes and cost factors in the automotive economic environment by region.
  • Building a regional cost database and conducting a survey on development trends in the European automotive industry.
  • Development and implementation of strategic purchasing strategies.
