Your profile
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Automotive Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related technical field.
- Experience in system testing, SW validation, or quality assurance within the automotive or embedded systems industry.
- Hands-on experience with infotainment systems, telematics ECUs, and connected car technologies
- Valid Driving License
- Proficiency in German and English
- IT Knowledge
- Soft Skills: Communication, teamwork, reliability and time management
Your tasks
- Execute comprehensive smoke tests for all new software releases prior to customer delivery, ensuring compliance with release acceptance criteria and quality standards.
- Update Head Unit (HU) and ECUs (CCU, CLU, DCU, HUD) on both test bench and vehicle environments, and perform smoke tests to verify overall stability and integrity of each SW release.
- Conduct system-level feature testing of Telematics ECU and Infotainment systems, covering domains such as:
- Radio / CCS (Connected Car Services) / Navigation
- Apple CarPlay / Android Auto / Bluetooth Connectivity
- Additional connected and multimedia functions as applicable
- Support test cycles across multiple vehicle platforms.
- Install all required applications, configurations, and test files on IOP devices prior to each testing period, ensuring the latest OS software versions are deployed.
- Clarify device allocation and resolve open topics with the responsible persons for Telematics and System Test before each test cycle.
- Verify that all IOP devices and Head Unit software are up to date and confirm that all preparation tasks have been correctly completed.
- Manage and maintain all software files required for testing activities across key components: HU / CLU / CCU / DCU / HUD.
- Ensure traceability and version control of all test-relevant software packages.
- Create, track, and manage defect tickets in JIRA, including issue documentation, verification, and closure throughout the defect lifecycle.
- Report all identified issues with clear descriptions, reproduction steps, and severity classification.
- Report all testing results in a timely and structured manner, ensuring transparency on test coverage, pass/fail status, and open items.
