Senior V-SLAM Algorithm  Engineer (m/f/d)

Together with Hyundai Motors and Kia Motors, Hyundai MOBIS is one of the biggest companies within the Hyundai group. In addition to research and development of high-tech products for passenger cars, MOBIS Parts Europe N.V. is responsible for the whole aftersales business of genuine parts and accessories for Hyundai Motors and Kia Motors in Europe.

Your profile

  • Master or PhD degree in electrical engineering, computer science or another highly numerical discipline.

  • High familiarity with Visual Simultaneous and Localization and Mapping (V-SLAM) concept.

  • Excellent computer vision theory and extensive practical experience in one or more areas: visual odometry, pose estimation, camera calibration, structure-from-motion, bundle adjustment.

  • Extensive hands-on experience with C and C++ and related libraries (e.g. OpenCV, Boost, Blas, Eigen)
    Strong C/C++ programming skills and 1+ year of experience in using Python.

  • Fluent in English, have excellent communication skills and a teamwork spirit.

  • Big plus: Prior publications related to V-SLAM, prior exposure to machine learning and related libraries (e.g.,TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn).

  • Nice to have: Experience with algorithm development in real-time embedded application or automotive SoC/ECU solutions, familiarity with sensor fusion concept (e.g. Dempster-Shafer theory).

     

Your tasks

You will support our team with the following tasks:

 

  • Actively contribute in designing V-SLAM solution with the team.

  • Regularly mentor junior engineers.

  • Prototype new algorithms in C/C++.

  • Validate algorithms (performance analysis and computational complexity.

  • Propose solutions to optimize the algorithm performance within the requirements.

  • Test the implemented algorithm on the test car.
