Your profile
-
Technician’s, Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
-
Solid experience in the design and development of automotive components, preferably tow bars and roof carrier
-
Proficiency in CATIA V5 software for 3D modeling, simulations, and drawing creation
-
In-depth knowledge of European standards and regulations for automotive parts development
-
Experience in design of Sheet Metal components, bolt and screw connections, welding connections and electromechanical integration
-
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve technical challenges
-
Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams
-
Result-oriented, self-motivated and detail-oriented with a focus on quality and continuous improvement
-
Familiarity with manufacturing processes, materials, and assembly methods used in automotive industry
-
Experience with structural analysis tools and techniques
-
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines effectively
-
Language skills (English (must), German & Korean language skills benefit)

Ability to work with relevant IT systems & programs

Skill to use 3D printer
Your tasks
-
Pre-model, pre-design and optimize vehicle accessory systems for cars, considering safety, performance, and aesthetic requirements. Main items: tow bar and roof carrier

Utilize CATIA V5 software to create 3D models, perform simulations, and generate detailed engineering drawings
-
Conduct feasibility studies and validation of vehicle accessory based on data, ensuring adherence to quality standards and specifications

Conducting DMU (Digital Mock-Up)

Conduct thorough research and analysis to understand customer needs and regulatory standards for accessory development in Europe
-
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, manufacturing, and quality assurance, to ensure successful implementation of tow bar designs
-
Perform structural analysis and optimization of accessory components using appropriate engineering tools and techniques
-
Create technical documentation, including design specifications, test plans, and reports
-
Stay up-to-date with advancements in tow bar & roof carrier technology, industry best practices, and European regulations
-
Handling and operating 3D printer
